Pride Station: North India’s First Metro Station dedicated to Transgender Community

It is a very huge opportunity for the transgender community. We want to give our best so that others from our community also get a chance. We hope we get more opportunities like this, we want to reach some new heights. The initiative was inspired by the transgender person (Protection of Life) Act, 2019.

The metro station situated in Noida is the first metro station dedicated to the transgender community. It is the first metro station where transgenders are recruited into the team. This is a very nice initiative taken by the government in order to show gender equality.

The day was 27th of October 2020, when Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) one of its stations as ‘Pride Station’. Earlier the metro station was known as Sector 50 Metro Station. The new name of the station was unveiled by Gautam Budh Nagar M.P. Mahesh Sharma. Six members of the transgender community were recruited by NMRC.

It is one of the most prideful things our government did for which we are also proud of them. We believe that steps like this are required to make India great again. There are already a lot of issues in the world which we need to tackle every single day. To tackle the big troubles we need to be with each other irrespective of their caste, color, locality, religion, or gender.

Tell us your views on this in the comments, also share this to spread equality. The government has taken an appreciative initiative by doing this. But as a citizen, it is our duty as well to treat the other communities with equality and accept them with pride.
